Hi! Welcome to the Rooted in Him Blog. I’m Tina, and I wanted to take a moment to share a little bit about me, the heart behind Rooted in Him, and how it all began.
Two years ago, I found myself struggling to remember God’s promises for me. I knew them. I believed them. But when life got loud, I realized I needed those reminders right in front of me.
So, I created a poster for my prayer corner—a simple piece of home decor that reminded me of God’s promises, who He is, and who He has called me to be.
A close friend saw it and asked me to make one for her. Over time, I began creating and personalizing these posters for friends and loved ones. In the past year alone, I’ve made more than 20.
Several people close to me kept telling me, “This needs to be shared.” I kept postponing it, until now. 🤍
The second picture is from November 2024, when I created the very first poster. It started as something I made just for myself, and I never imagined it would grow into what Rooted in Him is today.
How the Rooted in Him Jars Began
The jar has a similar story.
It was first created two years ago for a friend who was moving somewhere without a church or a community nearby. I wanted to give her something she could reach for in any season—a simple reminder of God’s love, His presence, and His support, no matter what she was going through.
Slowly, the jars made their way to more and more people, and I was encouraged by those closest to me to share them with others.
What began as something personal became a collection of meaningful gifts designed to encourage the people we love.

And that is how Rooted in Him began.
Rooted in Him was created with the hope of bringing these reminders into more homes and hearts. Every piece begins with prayer and is inspired by God's Word, with the hope of encouraging us to keep our hearts and minds rooted in Christ.
Our posters, jars, and other pieces are created to be meaningful additions to your home decor while also serving as daily reminders of Scripture and faith.

The resources and teachings explored throughout this blog are deeply rooted in the wisdom of the Church Fathers—the Christians who lived closest to the time of Christ and helped preserve and teach the faith handed down through the apostles.
Their writings and teachings have long been an important part of how the Orthodox Church understands and lives out the Christian faith.
Faith, Scripture, and Everyday Life
The wisdom of the early Church is not simply something from the past.
The struggles we experience today—distraction, discouragement, anxiety, restlessness, relationships, and the desire to grow closer to God—are not new. The Church Fathers have much to teach us about how to respond to them.
Through this blog, I hope to explore these timeless teachings and connect them with the experiences we face in everyday life.
My prayer is that these reflections deepen your understanding of God's Word, strengthen your relationship with the Lord, and encourage you to remain firmly rooted in His love, truth, and promises each day.
More Than Gifts and Home Decor
While Rooted in Him began with posters and jars, the vision is bigger than individual products.
I hope this becomes a place where you can find meaningful gifts, thoughtful home decor, and reminders of faith that have a lasting purpose.
A gift can be beautiful, but it can also be personal.
It can remind someone that they are loved, encourage them during a difficult season, or point their heart back toward God.
That is what I hope every Rooted in Him piece can do.
